Nok Suntaranon

The first thing you notice about Nok is probably her incredible fashion sense. The second is TiTi, her little Pomeranian. Then she starts talking and you realize she's an incredible storyteller and f*cking hilarious. She'll joke about being world famous, or tease you for not knowing how to eat curry and rice properly.

But judge her on these qualities alone at your peril. Below the surface is serious depth. Nok has lived an incredible life. She's a woman that simply refuses to fail, who has turned her dreams into reality using her smarts and perseverance and a whole helluva lot of talent.

Ángel León

"Creative" isn't really a sufficient description for Angel's food. Crazy might be a bit better. We tell the story of some of Angel's iconic dishes, from his marine plankton rice to his fish charcuterie and his insane liquid salt technique, which is better experienced than spoiled here, and many, many more… (Squid Sperm Blue Cheese anyone? A bioluminescent G&T made with pre-pubescent crabs? Or Eel Skin Mochi served with Crispy Fish Scale ice cream?)

More recently, Angel's been working to expand his impact outside the kitchen, through a variety of ocean research and sustainability projects, not least of which is the ambitious Sea Rice program we feature in the episode. People have been calling Angel crazy for half of his life (I even did earlier in this summary), but his goals are big. As he says in our episode, "crazies change the world."
